The X-Files series, following the lives of F.B.I. agents Dana Scully and Fox Mulder, originally ran on Fox from 1993 to 2002. Two revival seasons were later released in 2016 and 2018. In addition to the popular series, the franchise includes comic books and two theatrical movie releases, plus countless spin-offs, copycats, and spoofs.
